DS Download November 29th, 2009The Nintendo DS console is an ideal example of a truly high-end gaming console. This Nintendo manufactured gaming machine consists of two display screens. If one open the flip designed console, he will find two display units on both the upper and lower portions. Among them, the bottom one is a touch-screen. The console comes with a microphone and able to support wireless IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) standards of technology. By using this technology, the gamers will have the facility to interact with each other within a short distance.
The gaming device has a weight of just 275 grams and has dimensions of 148.7 x 84.7 x 28.9 mm. This sleek gaming gadget uses two ARM processors as its central processing unit. Among these, the primary one is an ARM946E-S processor and the secondary co-processor is the ARM7TDMI processor. They works on clock speeds of 67 MHz and 33 MHz respectively. The main processor helps to process 3D rendering of the console. On the other side, the secondary one processes the 2D rendering for the DS games and Game boy Advance game play.
The amazing gaming console uses a proprietary solid state ROM which is called “game card”. It resembles with the memory cards which are used in other portable electronic devices, such as in digital cameras. The firmware prepared by Nintendo is being used in these gadgets. After switching on the system, the user will experience a health and safety warning. After showing it, the main menu will be loaded. In that main menu, the gamer will find the options include: play a DS game, initiate DS Download Play, use PictoChat or play a Game Boy Advance Game. On the other hand, the sophisticated nintendo ds console offers plenty of highly useful features to the users, like an alarm clock, several options for customisation and the option to input user’s personal information such as name, birthday, favourite colour, etc.
