Xbox Portable Coming Out In 2009-2010?

Xbox isn’t a stupid company. They are considered geniuses considering the fact that they made the first integrated hard drive system. And they are known for making a great system in the Xbox 360 (Arcade, Elite and Pro). But, the system they are lacking in the most is the handheld world. Xbox isn’t really working well in this area, since they don’t have any products to compete with the PSP or Nintendo DS (Lite).

So, what does Xbox news have for us? Great ones. They have been rumored to be working on the Xbox Portable. They’re release date is probably late 2008, early 2009, but that’s great because that’s before they release PS4, Wii 2 and Xbox 720 (all by the way, are still rumors). Anyway, Xbox Portable has been aunnounced as rumors in early 2006.

Another great thing about the Xbox Portable is that TeamXbox is giving their customers a chance to help them out with the system. With a mini survey from Xbox, you can answer some questions that could be added to the Xbox Portable. This is good because Xbox is giving other Xbox owners a chance to let Xbox see their flaws, and try to improve on it.

True or False:
I’m leaning towards true because Xbox is in need of a handheld system. That’s what’s hurting Xbox right now. If Xbox is truly planning to do this, the handheld battle between Nintendo DS Lite and PSP could change drastically.

If you or your child owns a Nintendo DS than Mario kart DS is a must have game for the holiday season. In this review I’ll go over what makes Mario kart DS great and some of the highly praised in game functionality as well.

Mario kart DS takes place on over 30 courses with several battle arenas from every game that was ever released in the Mario Kart series. Not to mention that there are also several new courses as well. Mario Kart DS lets you take control of the action with all the player you know and love like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Donkey Kong, Toad, Bowser,Yoshi, and Shy Guy.

What many people love about this game is that they include at Least Five Ways to Play.

No matter if you like racing solo or if you choose to ramp it up and race your friends, Mario Kart DS is a family game that everyone can enjoy. Both the verses mode and the battle mode can take advantage of the multiplayer action for you and up to 7 more of your friends to play using a local wireless connection.

Mario Kart DS has the following game modes:

Grand Prix Mode: Simply put the driver with the most points at the end of a combination of cup races is the winner.

Time Trial Mode: Get the best time you can on a single track and gloat in your dominance.

VS Mode: Battle the computer or up to 7 of your friends in head to head rubber burning action.

Battle Modes: Mario Kart DS come with two battle modes.

-Balloon Battle Mode: Pop or steal your opponent’s balloon

-Shine Runners: Collects more Shine Sprites than the other guy and you are the winner.

Mission Mode: Get your specific missions and get it down. Sound simple… it’s harder than you think.

Special Powers, Weapons, Moves & Features

Mario kart DS does a good job of taking familiar in game items from all the previous Mario Karts and incorporating them in this game. These items including heat seeking Shells, Bombs, Bananas, Lightning and the very dangerous Spiny Shell. The DS really shines with this game with the touch screen showing a detailed map of weapons being shot at other players.

As if all of these game modes were not enough Mario Kart DS comes with 3 more gaming modes made specifically for wireless game play. Mari Kart DS has two distinct options for LAN wireless game play. You can use the DS download play. This allows all of your children play their friends whether they have the game themselves or not. This feature alone is what I believe to be one of the best because of the multi player fund. The multi-card play is the exact opposite and is for when all players have Mario Kart DS and a Nintendo DS system.

All in all, Nintendo did a great job of pulling in all of the great features that make Mario Kart great. The game play is pretty much the same that everyone loves and this game has the best selection of tracks in any Mario Kart It goes without saying that if you have a DS then you need this game!
