One lotto strategy that has been around for a long time is what I call the Hot Number Strategy. It considered the HOT numbers to be the top lotto numbers to play. This lottery strategy is still being used by lotto players the world over and that is really sad. Although, it’s popularity is understandable. All of the marketing hype used to sell this fantasy sounds good, it appears to make sense, it is easy to understand, it is easy to implement but it is pure baloney wrapped in a robe of golden hope. And, lottery players ate it up.
I was the first to uncover the fallacy of this lottery strategy a few years ago and I have been crusading ever since to shed some light on the subject. But, there was one thread of righteous truth hidden in the strategy that did capture my attention. After pulling, pushing and picking at this thread for some time, I was able to unravel my first startling breakthrough in lotto number analysis. I called this thread Cycles. To this day, nothing has been discovered which outperforms Cycles.
HOT Lotto Number Strategy
To lay the ground work for a discussion of Cycles, let’s explain the basis of the Hot Number Strategy. It turns out to be an good lead in to a discussion of Cycles. The Hot Number Strategy simply states that the lotto numbers that have hit in the last 10 drawings must be HOT numbers. The idea is that if a lottery number is HOT, you should play it. Supposedly, these lottery numbers are considered HOT because of their recent activity. Many people fell for this pitch. But, by asking a few simple questions, the strategy begins to fall apart.
The fallacy behind the Hot Number Strategy lies in the assumption. So, what is this assumption? The assumption is that the best play list is the list of lotto numbers from the last 10 drawings. Who says? Are people supposed to blindly accept that statement as truth without question? Where is the proof that this is the case?
A Hearty Lottery Strategy
These are exactly the questions I asked myself. And, posing these questions led directly to the bottom line question which was, ‘If the winning numbers from the last 10 drawings aren’t the best play list, then what is the best play list?’ As I worked the problem, I soonrealized that a

single lottery solution was not adequate. I needed a solution that was robust; one that would work for every lottery.
Also, the solution had to apply to any size lottery. It also had to apply to 5 number and 6 number lotteries. It had to apply to any period of the lotteries history and it had to apply to lotteries that started 10 years ago, 5 years ago, 2 years ago, etc. Basically, the solution needed to be universal. I was finally able to solve the problem after many months of software developemnt. The solution is called Cycles.
What Are Lotto Cycles?
As it turns out, the Hot Number Strategy is also a Cycle. It is called Cycle 1-10. The 1 being the last drawing and the 10 refers to ten drawings ago (10 drawings back). So, if you were getting ready to play drawing 100 on Saturday, Cycle 1-10 would refer to drawings 90 thru 99; the last 10 drawings. Your play list would be made up of the winning numbers from those drawings.
To all the HOT number aficiandos, Cycle 1-10 is considered to be the best. At this moment in a lotteries history, maybe it is; maybe not. So, instead of guessing, why not check the performance of all Cycles? For example, maybe Cycle 9-18 produces a better list; or Cycle 11-20 or Cycle 27-36. It is critical to make a good choice. It would be a waste to spend your money on Cycle 1-10 when Cycle 25-34 was a better choice.
Here is a fundamental truth that all lottery players must accept and learn. No two lotteries are the same. What works for one doesn’t work for the other. The best Cycle in one lottery is not necessarily the best in another. The entire idea that the Hot Number Strategy would work equally well for all lotteries is absurd. If it were only that easy. But, if you don’t believe me, then I know someone who is selling some ocean-front property in Arizona. Forgive me George.
No, you’re not going to win the lottery just because you use Cycles. Although, I’m sure there are some who would believe that. The only thing you can do is increase your chances of winning. Anyone who tells you otherwise would also try to sell you the Golden Gate Bridge. Again, sorry George.
How to Play the Lottery
So, here is my philosophy on playing the lottery. If you’re going to play the lottery, then at least do it right. Be logical. Be consistent. Play smart. Use the best lottery software. Budget your money wisely. And, above all, have fun.
I strongly believe that everyone is destined to win the lottery, if they live long enough. Perhaps your lucky day is 4,521 years, 304 days from now. Do you see the difficulty? So, the plan is to do everything you can to increase your chances of winning the lottery. The first of which is to construct a list of the best lottery numbers to play. Hopefully, this will reel in that lucky day to a day you can enjoy. But, don’t forget, it is only a game and games are supposed to be fun.

A question about ds games?
Ok, something i dont understand. The ds games, have shorter and lower graphically enhanced games, and i used to think that this was because of the size of the chip its put on. But why then, can you get 32 GB on something smaller then a ds game chip, as in a psp memory card. Could'nt the ds game chips have more memory, for better games?
